The Nagbansi in Bihar speak Nagpuri and Hindi and read and write in Devanagari. The Nagbansi live mainly in Bihar and Jharkhand but some live in Himachal Pradesh.
The Nagbansi work in agriculture. Community elders settle disagreements for them. They are educated and use modern medicines. They are not vegetarians and eat wheat and rice as staple foods.
The Nagbansi do not allow divorce. They have birth and marriage rituals. They cremate their dead. On the death of the father, the sons inherit the property with the oldest son taking charge of the family estate.
They are Hindus who worship the cobra. This is a common cult in their part of India.
The Nagbansi people need the Holy Spirit to open their eyes so they can see Jesus as he truly is.
Pray that the elders come to Jesus Christ and lead others to him.
Pray that gospel materials and the internet lead them to begin home Bible studies.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out Holy Spirit-directed workers to them.
Pray for Nagbansi disciples to make more disciples.
